Highpoint Shopping Centre extension

To accommodate a new food, entertainment and retail precinct within the thriving Highpoint Shopping Centre, the client required structural and architectural steel in the form of new feature columns and roof structures.

DESCRIPTION

The architect’s vision for the roof design called for curved steel spans and a towering canopy to create an entry statement characterised by columns and timber slatwork. One of the most challenging features of the project – the biggest that Stilcon had undertaken at the time – was the fabrication and erection of a strong, undulating roof ‘spine’, utilising minimal support points. All work was undertaken in Stilcon’s west Melbourne factory, delivered and installed to spec by our skilled team of technical and manufacturing specialists.
