The Malthouse is a State Government of Victoria Development, providing new facilities for The gallery for the Australian Centre Contemporary Art, A set construction workshop for the Malthouse theatres, Rehearsal space for the Chunky Move Dance Company. The $10million project was awarded the Australian Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) Fabricators Award for the most outstanding fabricated structure in Victoria for 2001.
